Veggies Abroad will now offer clients the opportunity to create and book vegan-friendly travel itineraries for destinations worldwide
The vegan travel blog, Veggies Abroad, offers visitors mouthwatering lineups of vegan food, action-packed travel guides, and trip tips to plan their own veggie-filled vacation, but if they don’t want to do it themselves, there’s another option.
The blog’s Founder, Rebecca Gade Sawicki, launched full-service travel advisory services focused on the specific needs of vegan and eco-minded travelers.
Veganism is on the rise globally — whether you’re in Germany and want to try vegan schnitzel or in France and want to indulge in crepes filled with vegan cream, you can!
The options don’t just end with food.
Vegan hotels and B &Bs are on the rise, as well as major hotel chains adding options and enacting sustainability measures. In 2019, Hilton opened its first fully vegan suite at their London Bankside location, and others like The Marriott have upgraded menus with vegan-friendly options. A 2020 survey from GlobalData showed that travelers are concerned about the impact of their vacations. When asked if ethical and environmental sourcing of food influenced their travel choices, almost 76% said yes.
“The Veggies Abroad blog is a fantastic resource for veggie-friendly travelers; I realized I could make even more of an impact sharing knowledge and building awareness for our vegan community as an advisor and travel agent,” Rebecca Gade Sawicki, Veggies Abroad, Founder, shared. “Travel can enlighten our perspective, and it can support local communities and businesses that are working to protect our environment; as an advisor, it’s my goal to use travel as a tool for good,” Rebecca said.
The advisory services are tailored to the client’s needs, from finding the perfect vegan-friendly hotel for a London getaway to planning an ethical, carbon-neutral safari experience in Kenya and everything in between. If the client isn’t ready to book a trip just yet, there’s an option for a one-hour consultation call to ask questions or get feedback on a dream trip.
Potential itineraries include:
- Vegan tour through Italy inclusive of a vegan street food tour in Venice, chef-led cooking
classes, a stay in a Tuscan farmhouse, wine tasting, and more. - Relax on the beach while learning about local conservation efforts at an eco-friendly resort
while enjoying gourmet plant-based cuisine. - See lions, elephants, and hippos on Kenya’s first carbon-neutral safari while staying in
eco-lux accommodations and enjoying plant-based dishes with ingredients from the
onsite garden.
Clients can rest assured they’re in good hands. Rebecca is an independent affiliate of the
Virtuoso affiliated agency, The Travel Society.
