100% plant-based milk, Milkadamia will be available in all seven London area Whole Foods locations starting this month.
The non-dairy milk, made of raw macadamias, grown primarily on the company’s Jindilli Farm in Australia, recently won raves at last month’s lunch! Show at the ExCel in London as well as at this year’s London Coffee Festival where it was singled out for its consistency, texture, and taste, both as a stand-alone as well as to use in cooking and baking.
The company is currently in over 12,000 retailers in the U.S. and Morgan Roy, who is heading up the U.K. launch, discusses the U.K. expansion by stating, “According to the BBC, more than 25% of U.K. residents now drink plant-based milk and we when heard from so many consumers that they wanted us to bring our products to the country we knew the time was right for us to find a partner like Whole Foods to bring our delicious, creamy macadamia nut-based milks to these shores.” The company has plans to further expand within the U.K. in 2020.
This massive switch away from dairy in the U.K. fits squarely into the company’s Moo Is Moot mantra, which declares that dairy milk is moot, irrelevant within and to the lives, aspirations, health, and eco-desires of millions.
Milkadamia’s products have been featured in major publications and news outlets such as Forbes, CBS, ABC, Taste of Home, Goop, MSN U.K., Luxe Life, Lyra, Veg News, Live Kindly and Food and Dining, to name a few. Their macadamia milk has received 4.5 stars on Amazon, with comments such as “Foams perfectly!”, “Partners beautifully with coffee or tea” and “This milk is so rich and smooth!”Cooking Light called it “The Best Nut Milk For Your Coffee” and the company has won numerous awards, including those at the 2019 Coffee Fest and the New York Coffee Festival.
