In 2016, Ben & Jerry’s introduced their line of vegan ice cream flavors, including Peanut Butter & Cookies, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, and Coffee Caramel Fudge. Since then, their dairy-free line of products has increased, making up a significant 25 percent of all their product offerings.
In the past few years, Ben & Jerry’s added a new favorite flavor to their vegan ice cream collection– a vegan version of the very popular Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Recently, as a response to the growing popularity of their new vegan cookie dough ice cream, Ben & Jerry’s has released their delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chunks in the United States, which are entirely vegan-friendly.
The bite-sized chunks come in half-pound bags, with eight servings of the same dough found in their ice cream, making them the perfect snack. What’s more, they are safe to eat raw since they are egg-free and contain heat-treated flour.
In an interview with Delish, the brand’s innovation manager Jody Eley said, “Fans have been asking for ‘just the chunks’ for a while now. During a short market test in Vermont last summer, fans snatched up the dough in record time. Bags flew off the shelves in mere days, and stores could not keep the delicious dough bites in stock! Now, Ben & Jerry’s is rollin’ out the dough to fans across the US.”
While the delicious vegan cookie dough chunks are not available in the United Kingdom, and no set plans have been made, there is a strong possibility that following great success in the US, Ben & Jerry’s may decide to roll the snacks out to the UK and other regions.
The vegan Cookie Dough Chunks are now available at all participating retailers in the US, participating ice cream shops, and online at store.benjerry.com for a retail price of $4.99. You can learn more about the snack bites by visiting Ben & Jerry’s website.
