Brooklyn, NY (3/10/20) – Matthew Kenney Cuisine, founded by chef, author and wellness entrepreneur, Matthew Kenney, will open Hungry Angelina, the second location of this concept which focuses on making healthy, plant-based food accessible to all, in the heart of Dumbo in early April.
Hungry Angelina provides a variety of plant based indulgences, and aims to create a fun, social experience through music, community, cocktails, and of course, food. The menu invites you to express yourself and explore your taste buds.
Hungry Angelina has something for everyone. With a diverse menu, offering health-forward and innovative takes on classic dishes such as burgers, sushi, flatbreads, and more, there is enough variety to please any palate. Kenney intends to provide guests with more than a meal–spending your afternoon or evening at Hungry Angelina is an experience. Menu items include:
● Chicken Mushroom Bao Buns with and Hoisin Sauce
● Ahimi sushi roll with Cucumber, Avocado, and Wasabi Mayo.
● Truffle Burger with Mushrooms and Truffle Aoili
● Gnocchi Pomodoro with Fresh Tomatoes and Basil
● Chocolate Cake with Miso Caramel and Vanilla Ice Cream
Matthew Kenney is one of the world’s first leading chefs at the forefront of plant-based cuisine, an author of 12 cookbooks and a best-selling memoir, a culinary educator and CEO of Matthew Kenney Cuisine. Kenney has partnered with Madrid-based restaurateur, Alex Marin del Caso on this project; Kenney and his team will develop the menu and oversee all operations of the restaurant.
“These days, everyone has a friend who is vegan. Hungry Angelina is the realization of that friend’s wildest dreams. Instead of feeling like others are accommodating them, they will feel like they are accommodating everyone else. The food is that good, that diverse, and that much fun. I love the community and culture of Dumbo, and am excited to launch our next Hungry Angelina there, it couldn’t be a better fit.”
The opening of Hungry Angelina is just one of many MKC restaurants arriving to new cities in the coming year. Notably, MKC is opening their first restaurant in San Francisco with BAIA in late April, in addition to a raw-vegan concept in New York City in partnership with ALO Yoga, and several more Hungry Angelina and Double Zero locations nationwide.
Hungry Angelina will be located in the ETSY Building at 117 Adams St. Brooklyn, NY 11201
