Leading plant-based producer Sophie’s Kitchen will debut two of its top-selling products – Vegan Crab Cakes and Vegan Breaded Shrimp – at select Walmart stores nationwide starting this weekend. As of September 12th, 400 Walmart stores will stock the brand’s Vegan Crab Cakes and Vegan Breaded Shrimp found in the frozen section. This new distribution comes as Sophie’s Kitchen continues to grow its reach and offerings.
Launched in 2010, Sophie’s Kitchen is a pioneer of plant-based seafood and offers a line of vegan seafood products that mimic their real animal counterparts, making them the perfect plant-based swap as consumers opt for alternatives to traditional seafood. While Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods lead the way for plant-based beef, Sophie’s Kitchen meets the demand for innovative plant-based seafood options. The Vegan Crab Cakes and Vegan Breaded Shrimp are free from GMO’s, soy, and gluten and are made without lab-grown ingredients, colors, fillers, or added sugar. It is an alternative to dwindling seafood sources and overcrowded fish farms, while also being low in calories and high in fiber.
