The hidden gem in Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, The Healthy Hippie Cafe didn’t let COVID get in the way of celebrating their Autumn Equinox with a fully vegan 5-Course meal to ring in the new season.
The menu was highly curated, using only organic, local produce and all made from scratch, in house.
Among the 5 course meal, the cafe was set up to be socially distant, with separated tables. Each table was romantically decorated with fresh picked flowers from their local garden, white tablecloths, and even coloring pencils and a printed version of their unique logo of a woman dancing through a field (which we thought perfectly embodied their name ‘Healthy Hippie’.
Between meals, guests were invited to color and enjoy the soft music and low, romantic lighting. After the 4th course, founder of North Texas Center for Mindfulness, Jamie Lee got up to speak about her mindful lifestyle. The guests learned about the importance of the Autumn Equinox and its connection to astrology, energy working, and our overall lives.
“I have been Vegan since 2001”, shares owner of Healthy Hippie Cafe Kelli. “Everything we make from scratch is Plant Based and Dairy Free. Only our Amaranth Bar does has honey in it, and we do offer eggs as a vegetarian ADD ON option, but we do not and will never serve dairy, or meat. Every special event we do, like our holiday meals and equinox dinners are always 100% Vegan”!
The Healthy Hippie’s next Five Course meal will be a Thanksgiving Take-Out meal. Kelli ensured us that there will be enough to have leftovers and it $30/pp. It will come with simple reheating instructions and all the extras like crispy dehydrated onions for the Green Bean Casserole, gravies, sauces and dressings! There will also be an event for Christmas but with a different, more festive menu. We can’t wait!
“We love making our dining rooms the most romantic spot in the metroplex and having all vegan options for those looking to live a healthier lifestyle”, Kelli, owner of The Healthy Hippie Cafe”.
