The month of April marks the world’s largest environmental movement. Companies, organizations and individuals all work together to spread awareness around important issues leading up to Earth Day on April 22.
Trunks & Leaves, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of endangered Asian elephants and their habitats, has several easy, virtual ways people can get involved to help wildlife and the planet.
Adopt an Elephant– Symbolically adopt a baby Asian elephant to support the conservation of this endangered species. Every calf available for adoption represents a real individual from the population in Udawalawe National Park, Sri Lanka.
Shop for Elephant– Trunks & Leaves partnered with wildlife artists around the globe to create limited-edition Asian elephant designs that support wildlife. You can find everything from t-shirts and tote bags, to face masks and shower curtains!
Speak Out Against Deforestation– Deforestation is an issue around the globe, and we’re facing a dire situation in Sri Lanka that threatens important elephant corridors and habitats. Individuals can support by signing the petition to stop environmental destruction or donating to the Corridor Conservation Fund.
