National grocer teaming up with The Weather Channel’s Stephanie Abrams to give away summer-themed prizes
Beginning June 21, Whole Foods Market will give away weekly prizes when weekend rain hits at least half of the continental U.S.
The Rainy-Day Redo giveaway series will leverage the expertise of meteorologist Stephanie Abrams of The Weather Channel. Whole Foods Market will share Abrams’ weekly weather call on Instagram (@wholefoods) at noon ET every Monday from June 21 through Aug. 9. If the previous weekend was deemed a rainout in at least 50% of the country, a limited number of Rainy-Day Redo packages will be available.
“With everyone ready to get outdoors and enjoy the summer with family and friends, Whole Foods Market is the destination for summer celebrations big and small,” said Sonya Gafsi Oblisk, Chief Marketing Officer of Whole Foods Market. “The Rainy-Day Redo program was designed to keep summer ON with giveaways, prizes and seasonal treats. Rainy days don’t stand a chance in dampening the fun.”
Prize packages will feature a variety of summer-themed items – from beach and grilling gear to tasty 365 by Whole Foods Market snacks – as well as coupons for summer essentials like ice cream or fresh fruit. Prizes will be available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
“From pool parties to barbecues, many beloved summer activities rely heavily on good weather. Unfortunately, the forecast won’t always cooperate,” Abrams said. “This summer, Whole Foods Market will make calling a rainout a little more enjoyable with a chance to grab exclusive summer-themed prizes to make up for it.”
