Banza, maker of chickpea pasta, pizza, mac & cheese and rice, teamed up with James Beard award-winning host of The Sporkful, Dan Pashman, to release Banza Cascatelli. Starting this week, the new pasta is available nationwide at Whole Foods Market and on EatBanza.com and Amazon.
- Made from chickpeas, it is the first gluten-free and better-for-you alternative to the pasta shape that went viral in 2021.
- It’s higher in protein and fiber than the traditional version, satisfying consumers with various dietary preferences and tastes and those who want to add more protein or fiber to their diet.
- It stays true to the “sauceability,” “forkability” and “toothsinkability” qualities Cascatelli was created for.
To inspire those making Banza Cascatelli at home, Banza enlisted food and lifestyle creator Dan Pelosi (@GrossyPelosi), whose recipe for Vegan Vodka “Sawce” is featured on the back of each pasta box. The recipe is a dairy-free version of the decadent sauce perfect for Cascatelli’s sauce-holding crevices.
