Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their album, Paul’s Boutique, Beastie Boys have collaborated with Adidas to launch a pair of limited-edition vegan trainers. Normally made from leather, the shoes are instead made with an off-white canvas. They also feature grey striped detailing and the Beastie Boys’ logo on the tongue and heel. Along with commemorating the album’s anniversary, the trainers are also meant to honor late Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch who passed away from cancer in 2012 and was purportedly a vegan himself. The special edition trainers are available at select skate shops across North America and retail for $85. Proceeds from the sales will go to PEACE Sisters and Little Kids Rock.
