Kind Heart Coalition is hosting the first annual Kind Hearted Campout, August 13th – 15th, 2021 at Harrison Serenity Ranch, located on Palomar Mountain, 55 miles north of San Diego.
The Kind Hearted Campout is California’s first all-vegan camping festival with an entertaining and intriguing itenary of music, talks, activism workshops, games, art activities, yoga classes and dance parties. This event is family and dog-friendly with a separate tent site for families and special activities just for kids. Several delicious meals will be provided by sponsors including Follow Your Heart, Tofurkey and Bear Bar. Miss Montana USA 2020 and environmental activist, Merissa Underwood will emcee.
This 3-day camping event is being held at a historic, 67-acre ranch in the Cleveland National Forest that was once owned by Nate Harrison, a former slave who was the first African American homesteader in San Diego county. Surrounded by hundreds of oak trees in an untouched part of Palomar Mountain, Harrison Serenity Ranch features extensive hiking trails, a labyrinth, viewing decks, an amphitheater, outdoor showers and more.
“We launched Kind Heart Coalition in 2018 with a mission to unite the vegan and animal rights groups within our community by hosting inspiring, art-focused events and providing opportunities to volunteer at local farm animal sanctuaries.” says Kind Heart Coalition co-founder Rachel Hosler. “We’re so excited to offer a weekend of nature, nurture and knowledge at the Kind Hearted Campout!”
Kind Heart Coalition is a San Diego-based grassroots social enterprise aiming to unite compassionate, kind hearts and minds through education on animal rights through anti-speciesist messaging.
