- Daily Harvest is committed to increasing access to organic fruits + vegetables for all. 95% of the ingredients they use are organic, which is better for your health and the planet’s! Organic farming reduces pollution, conserves water, improves soil, and uses less energy, BUT less than 1% of U.S. farmland is organic. To support a more sustainable food ecosystem, we leave 5% open to help farms transition from conventional to organic. We invest in our farmers to make the three-year, cost and labor-intensive process a little bit easier.
- They support regenerative farming practices that protect + nourish our soil. They are meticulous about the farms they work with and set standards to ensure our partners use regenerative practices that promote topsoil regeneration, improve the water cycle, and strengthen the health + vitality of soil overall.
- One year ago, Daily Harvest began rolling out 100% home compostable + recyclable packaging that breaks down naturally and gives back to our soil, instead of sitting in a landfill for thousands of years. They were also the first to circumvent the need for styrofoam in the shipping of frozen food and now use a completely curbside recyclable insulated liner in all of our boxes.
