Only a few months ago-–in November of 2019 specifically––the nationwide donuts and coffee chain Dunkin’ introduced its first vegan menu item: the Beyond Sausage Sandwich.
Since introduction, the Beyond Sausage Sandwich (a partnership with vegan brand Beyond Meat) has been wildly popular, far exceeding Dunkin’s initial expectations. Following up on this success, the coffee and donut chain just announced that it will be adding a new vegan item to its menu: the Oat Milk Latte.
Dunkin’ new Oat Milk Latte will be made available nationwide starting this spring. If ordered as is, the Oat Milk Latte is naturally 100% vegan. Customers may also choose to get the latte either iced or hot as with most other Dunkin’ beverages. On top of this, customers will also be able to swap out regular milk for oat milk in any of their favorite Dunkin’ caffeine fixes.
In an interview with vegan magazine VegNews, a Dunkin’ representative stated, “In 2014, we introduced almond milk at Dunkin’ to give guests seeking dairy alternatives a new way to customize their favorite Dunkin’ beverages. We are excited to soon add oat milk to menus nationwide to give our guests another deliciously creamy alternative to milk or cream.”
If you live in California, Dunkin’ is offering the opportunity to sample the new drink in January, prior to its launch. Visit any Dunkin’ shop in California between 8 am and 10 am and you will be able to try a sample.
