Over 30 life-changing films will be available for global online streaming at this year’s International Vegan Film Festival.
The International Vegan Film Festival (IVFF) presented by Wicked Kitchen will once again take place virtually this year. The festival tickets and passes are now on sale for the event which runs from October 30th – November 7th. Because of ongoing COVID-19 concerns and the success of last year’s virtual festival, IVFF will be making all of the festival’s films available to viewers worldwide.
The International Vegan Film festival is excited to announce that festival “attendees” are now able to virtually purchase a 90-minute program “block” for $16.95 CAD or a regular all-access festival pass for $45.20 CAD. In addition, passes will allow films to be watched at the attendees’ leisure from anywhere in the world through the online platform, Sparqfest by clicking https://ivff.sparqfest.live/en/ticketing.html
There are 31 vegan-themed films being screened this year, all ranging in length, theme, country of origin, and content. Film categories include animal rights, food choices, ethics, sustainability and climate change.
Some of this year’s noteworthy films include:
Moving Animals
- Moving Animals is a powerful short film about Jo-Anne McArthur’s documentation of the long distance transport of animals, shot and produced by filmmaker Miguel Endara. Jo-Anne also talks about solutions and how being vegan led to her feeling happy: intellectually, psychologically and emotionally aligned in her place in the world.
The Dark Hobby
- The story of a group of Native Hawaiians and conservationists who struggle politically to protect the exotic fish being looted from the reefs.
The Story of Two Vegan Bodybuilders – Robert Cheeke & Vanessa Espinoza
- Think you need to eat animals to get enough protein? Think again. These vegan athletes are workout buddies, business partners and co-authors of the book “Plant-Based Muscle.” Robert Cheeke is a vegan bodybuilding pioneer, bodybuilding champion and a bestselling author. Vanessa Espinoza is an elite powerlifter, a 3X Colorado Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and an All-American basketball player.
ABOUT INTERNATIONAL VEGAN FILM FESTIVAL
The International Vegan Film Festival (IVFF), an incorporated not-for-profit, is a trailblazing event dedicated to celebrating the vegan ideal: a healthier, more compassionate, environmentally friendly lifestyle that can be achieved by consuming plants and animal-free alternatives.
The IVFF hosted its inaugural Festival on October 14, 2018 and continues to host a variety of film contests, a cookbook contest, and a photo essay contest. Not only does IVFF showcase the talents of extraordinary filmmakers, but it also serves as a crucial link connecting the global community of vegans and inspiring non-vegans to make kinder and more informed food choices.
