In June, Kim Kardashian West shared with her Instagram followers that she had gone fur-free.
The announcement came in the caption of an image of her 5-year-old daughter North wearing an all-white fur coat. Kim wrote, “Remember when I wore this! She picked out the same look lol but fun fact – I took all of my fave furs and remade them in faux fur.”
Kardashian West has worn her fair share of furs over the years, even having a run-in with a PETA activist and a flour bomb while walking the red carpet in 2012. This change to faux furs is a welcome change being seen in the luxury fashion industry, with labels such as Michael Kors, Burberry, and Gucci deciding to stop using real fur.
