LOS ANGELES, CA (12/16/20) – Last year, Matthew Kenney Cuisine, the plant-based lifestyle brand founded by celebrity chef, author, and wellness entrepreneur Matthew Kenney, partnered with Ladurée Paris, the 150-year-old French pâtisserie to create Ladurée x MK , a 100% plant-based extension of the infamous brand. The Beverly Hills outpost has since served an entirely vegan menu, and a limited pastry program from the collaboration can be found in several other Ladurée l locations worldwide. However, the popular treats have yet to become available in Kenney’s LA-based flagship location, Plant Food + Wine – until now.
Beginning on Saturday, Plant Food + Wine will open its doors as a pop-up retail location, where patrons can stop by to shop the Ladurée x MK macarons, pastries, and hot teas to go, just in time for the holidays. The front room of PFW, located off of Abbot Kinney Blvd., will serve as a temporary retail store-front. The Venice-based restaurant is also currently the incubator for MkBurger and Oleada Cocina, 2 concepts of MKTK Previews, a series of sample menus for future brick and mortar restaurants available via takeout and delivery. The MKC team is thrilled to host Ladurée x MK at our Venice Beach flagship, and to offer an array of items such as:
● Ladurée x MK Vegan pastries and Macarons
● Home scents
● Key rings and bags
● The limited-time, limited-edition Ladurée Christmas box
The team at MKC has adapted to the unpredictable mandates and restrictions affecting restaurants throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and we continue to brainstorm creative new ways to serve our community with nutritious, thoughtful, and elevated plant-based cuisine during this typically joyful time of year.
