The free app aims to support 100% vegan businesses while helping consumers discover new places to eat, drink and shop.
A new directory app for vegans, Plant Based Directory, has landed on the App Store and Google Play, putting independent businesses on the map.
Plant Based Directory features over 30 types of vegan businesses – including restaurants, cafes, barbers, beauty salons, online retailers and grocery stores. The app features over 20 business categories with physical locations and over 10 online categories.
Rayner Croft, Founder of Plant Based Directory, believes that vegans are calling out for an app to discover all kinds of vegan businesses, not just food outlets.
“We wanted to make it easier for people to find 100% vegan food, drink, products and services across the UK, and that’s how Plant Based Directory was born.”
“We’ve recently added a very special category to the app and are so pleased to announce that we are now listing Animal Sanctuaries. We’re aiming to list all sanctuaries across the UK so that we can raise awareness of the amazing work they do, helping them raise the vital funds needed to care for animals saved from the meat & dairy industries.” “Our app covers businesses and nonprofits across the whole of the UK, from Scotland right down to the Isle of Wight – and everywhere in between.”
Plant Based Directory is free to download and use for both consumers and businesses. The app was created with the aim of supporting independent vegan businesses during these challenging times, while also helping users discover ethical businesses to support.
Vegan businesses can list for free on the app too, which has been designed with everyone in mind – whether you’re vegan or vegetarian, curious about a plant-based lifestyle, or simply have an interest in the environment and your own wellbeing.
