This year’s Oscar swag-bags will be filled with vegan surprises. The contents of the “Everyone Wins” nominee gift bags are worth more than $100,000 with over 53 different products, and feature items such as memberships to exclusive social clubs in Los Angeles, training sessions with celebrity personal trainer, and other mouth-watering gifts.
This year, PETA will also add its own touch to the Oscar gift bag, which comes in the form of camera-equipped Agent for the Animal spy pens. “Lights, camera, take action!” is the message on the cards attached to these recording devices disguised as pens.
PETA, whose motto reads “Animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way,” encourages anyone who witnesses abuse “on or off” set to contact their Films and Television division by calling the hotline at 323-210-2233 or emailing [email protected].
The PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the largest animal rights organization in the world. PETA has more than 6.5 million members and supporters and was established to advocate for animal welfare.
This weekend, many actors will be recognized and applauded by the world for their on-screen accomplishments. PETA has now found an additional way to applaud and encourage actors’ and actresses’ dedication and compassions towards the animals
