Miss Mexico Andrea Meza is here to change the world and her list of achievements and accolades are a testament to her drive. With her recent victory in the 69th Miss Universe Pageant, we can be certain there’s plenty more of her brilliance coming our way!
Meza is a living definition of a multi-hyphenate with a variety of skills and a range of expertise up her sleeves. She was born and raised in Chihuahua City and has been gracefully taking down the glass ceiling at every step of her journey. She holds a degree in Software Engineering from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and is also pursuing entrepreneurial ventures by launching her activewear brand! She is passionate about living an active, healthy lifestyle, enjoys sports and CrossFit workouts, and is up for having a great time at music concerts.
Adding to her list of credentials- she is a certified makeup artist, model, and the official Tourism Brand Ambassador for her hometown of Chihuahua! Meza adores educating tourists about the rich culture of her home.
Our newly minted Miss Universe is committed to using her platform to advocate for women’s rights and end gender-based violence. Activism is at the core of her mission to make the world a better, happier place for all living beings; and veganism is inherent to that. Meza believes that a vegan ethic is central to the well-being of all animals- human and non-human, and our environment.
Her social media feed includes breathtaking photos that highlight her enthusiasm for travel. And if this wasn’t remarkable enough, she’s also an adventurous foodie! Who says vegans can’t indulge in diverse culinary experiences?
During the ceremony, Meza emphasized the importance of the word “beauty” surpassing one’s physical appearance. Rather, it’s essential that we extend its meaning to include one’s values and morals. In her heartfelt speech, she says- “We live in a society that is increasingly advanced and just as we have advanced as a society we have also advanced in stereotypes.” “Today beauty does not only lie in how we see ourselves, for me the beauty lies in our spirit, soul, and the values as we handle ourselves. Never allow someone to tell you that you have no value,” she adds, and we couldn’t agree more!
We are immensely grateful for Meza’s dedication to using her dais for good, and bringing veganism closer to the forefront of change for a compassionate, just world.
