Fans of Selena, vegans, vegan-curious, and clean-beauty seekers rejoice! Pop star Selena Gomez releases plant-based beauty brand, Rare Beauty on September 3rd, 2020.
The ‘I needed to lose you to love me’ singer just recently took to her Instagram profile and announce to her 186 million fans confirming the launch of the brand she unveiled earlier.
“I’m SO excited to finally share that @RareBeauty will be launching September 3rd only at @Sephora, @SephoraCanada, @SephoraMx and RareBeauty.com,” the singer, 28, wrote on the post.
“I’ve had so much fun creating everything and can’t wait for y’all to try it all! I hope you love it as much as I do!”
What is Rare Beauty?
Selena introduced her brand on Instagram earlier this year, and at that time the brand was scheduled to launch in Summer 2020. For some undisclosed reasons, the brand-launch was delayed and it is now being launched in September.
Gomez’s brand is inclusivity and diversity-focused beauty company that seeks to push the notion of you’re who you’re. “Rare Beauty is about accepting who you are – and finding the beauty in your imperfections,” according to the brand.
The singer once flaunted a lipstick and an eyeshadow which she reportedly wore in her video song ‘Boyfriend.’ Also, on popular demand, the actor revealed her brand is 100% vegan. “Like you, we love and care for our animals too,” the brand wrote on their Instagram page.
According to a report, the brand has already garnered 1.3 million and seeks to aggregate 100-million over the next 10 years through the company’s rare Impact Foundation to “to help address the gaps in mental health services for underserved communities.”
The company will also extent one percent of the sales to the cause it supports.
Gomez is one of the many celebrities foraying into the beauty and various other businesses. Popstar Rihanna earlier this year launched 100% vegan clean beauty brand Fenty Skin under the umbrella Fenty brand that embodies Rihanna’s life and journey.
Earlier in April RiRi launched Small Trades’ inspired vegan leather capsule collection, Vegan Food and Living reported.
