This election season, thousands of voters, poll workers and ballot counters will receive unprecedented support as they carry out their civic duties amid a pandemic and staff shortages. Kate Farms, the #1 recommended plant-based nutrition, is delivering more than 45,000 organic meal-replacement shakes to voters and election workers across the U.S.
“Kate Farms’ mission has always been to feed those in need and during this monumental time in our democracy, we are proud to provide plant-based nutrition to our nation’s voters and poll workers at the frontline during a pandemic. In addition to encouraging our staff to volunteer and get out the vote, we celebrate and recognize the commitment to democracy”, states John Hommeyer, Chief Experience Officer, Kate Farms.
Kate Farms is partnering with Support + Feed, an initiative providing plant-based meals to people experiencing food insecurity that was founded by Maggie Baird, who is the mother to singers Billie Eilish and Finneas, to feed voters as they wait in long lines across major cities in the U.S. including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and New York City.
Kate Farms is also partnering with Frontline Impact Project, a social impact platform started by The KIND Foundation, in coordination with local election boards, is spearheading the donation of products to election workers. With Frontline Impact Project, non-partisan groups that promote voter turnout and education are helping scale the effort to feed election voters, including More Than A Vote, a voting rights nonprofit led by Lebron James and a coalition of Black athletes and artists and the Election Super Center Project, an initiative of the National Vote At Home Institute. Donations will be distributed across Denver, Orange County, Indiana polis, Milwaukee, Detroit and Houston among others. More details may be found in the release here.
“Since its inception, Frontline Impact Project has been about companies coming together to show appreciation for frontline workers. Now, thanks to many generous partners, like Kate Farms, we are extending support to the selfless citizens who make our democracy work for everyone. Their commitment gives me confidence in our democratic system and is a display of the shared values that make our country exceptional”, shares Daniel Lubetzky, Founder of Frontline Impact Project and KIND.
