The world’s largest vegan-themed film festival aligns with renowned global plant-based food brand
Ottawa, Canada (August 25, 2021) – The International Vegan Film Festival (IVFF) is pleased to announce that Wicked Kitchen, the pioneering, chef-driven brand of plant-based foods and U.K. market leader in vegan meals, snacks and ingredients, will be the official title sponsor of the 2021 and 2022 IVFF and World Tour.
“IVFF is delighted about our new partnership with Wicked Kitchen,” said Shawn Stratton, Founder & Director of the IVFF. “Both organizations share core values of working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of humans and animals globally to improve our planet while supporting our farmers and our health.”
With the continued support of the Festival’s corporate sponsors and donors, the IVFF is able to showcase outstanding vegan-themed film programming from filmmakers worldwide. The IVFF also runs a Vegan Photo Essay Contest and—new for 2021—the world’s first Vegan Cookbook Contest.
“We’re thrilled to partner with IVFF to further our mutual mission to the benefit of our planet and the people and animals that live on it,” said Pete Speranza, CEO of Wicked Foods, Inc. “We’re honored to highlight the work of filmmakers with this global platform and we see this as a powerful partnership for greater impact and awareness.”
Discussing the importance of adding a title sponsor like Wicked Kitchen, Stratton explains, “Promoting the Festival with Wicked’s fervent global following will greatly enhance the reach and impact of the Festival, especially now that Wicked Kitchen has expanded into North America.”
Last month, Wicked Kitchen launched in the U.S. in 2,500 stores nationwide, securing the largest plant-based brand rollout in U.S. grocery history. The launch in Krogers and Sprouts Farmers Markets will enable the company to greatly expand access to animal-free, plant-based foods and supercharge the vegan food movement in the U.S.
In 2021, the 4th Annual IVFF will be comprised of three events—an in-person film festival held in Ottawa, Canada on October 30, a week-long worldwide online virtual film festival running from October 31 – November 7, and World Tour screenings showcasing the best short films of the Festival.
The full list of films playing in the festival and their times will be available in late September.
Attendees to select IVFF World Tour screenings will have an opportunity to sample some of Wicked Kitchen’s latest plant-based food offerings.
